Rossendorf Model Aircraft Club
Flughafen Dresden GmbH supports the Rossendorf Model Aircraft Club which enable the club to put on a wide range of activities. Most of our sponsoring pays for the running costs of the clubhouse and grounds. The funds provided by Dresden Airport are also put towards purchasing materials, implementing projects and taking part in competitions. The Dresden Airport Cup glider competition is a high point in the club's calendar.

Middle School 82, Am Flughafen
Flughafen Dresden GmbH provides financial support for the production of the year book for the students of Middle School 82, Am Flughafen. The airport’s sponsoring pay for the year book to be printed and bound. Members of the airport’s marketing and PR department also give the student editors professional help and guidance. Every year we invite students to editorial meetings of the Rundflug neighbourhood newspaper and arrange visits to agencies and printing companies at which they can gain valuable experience for their editorial tasks.

Friedrich Schiller Grammar School, Pirna
Flughafen Dresden GmbH has been cooperating with the Friedrich Schiller Grammar School in Pirna, the first ever German-Czech grammar school in Germany, since 2009. The aim of this partnership is to promote and strengthen ties between Germany and the Czech Republic. Since the completion of the A17 motorway, the airport has seen an increase in passengers from the Czech Republic and is working on raising its profile in Northern Bohemia even further. The airport provides financial support for project work undertaken at the school and also organises free guided tours of the airport.

Klotzscher Verein
Flughafen Dresden GmbH has a very close relationship with the local community association, the Klotzscher Verein. Most of the airport’s sponsoring is put towards the Klotzsche Cultural Autumn, an annual multifaceted programme of events for local residents and their guests. We regularly host large-scale events like the local community festival Bunte Klotzscher Stadtteilfest.

SG Klotzsche, handball division
Flughafen Dresden GmbH has sponsored the handball division of SG Klotzsche e.V. since 1999. In doing so our main aim is to promote junior sports in and around Klotzsche. Over the past few years the handball division has grown to its current membership of more than 100 children and young people. Financial means from the airport are used to purchase strips and track suits as well as balls and ball carts. The airport also provides non-cash prizes for tournaments.

VfB Hellerau-Klotzsche Football Club
Flughafen Dresden GmbH is one of the main sponsors of the VfB Hellerau-Klotzsche e.V. Football Club. The club uses our financial support in various ways. Besides paying for running costs such as electricity and water, our money is put towards purchases of team equipment such as strips, balls and nets. Our sponsoring also help finance its annual club, sports and children’s festival.
