Friendly, competent staff advise passengers and visitors at the airport information desk

A representative passenger and visitor survey at Dresden International and Leipzig/Halle Airports was carried out by the Leipzig Institute for Market research in summer 2010. These surveys are being conducted on behalf of the airports every two years. A total of 4,222 people were interviewed at the two locations - 2,009 in Dresden and 2,213 in Leipzig/Halle. The aim of the passenger and visitor survey was to determine the level of user-friendliness and customer satisfaction.

97 percent of all those interviewed had a positive impression of Dresden International Airport, which was awarded with an average grade of 1.5. 96 percent of people were happy with the overall impression created by Leipzig/Halle Airport. As a result the airport achieved an average grade of 1.8. These figures confirm the excellent results which the two Mitteldeutsche Airport Holding airports were able to achieve in the 2008 survey.

Top marks for service, ease of access and the pleasant atmosphere

The passenger and visitor survey was carried out in July and September 2010, i.e. in the peak season. A total of 3,416 passengers and 806 visitors were interviewed at the two airports and asked about issues such as cleanliness and tidiness, services and the friendliness of staff members, finding your way around the airport, parking facilities, getting to the airport by car or public transport, and the overall impression created by the airport.

Those interviewed awarded particularly high marks for ease of access and transport links, the pleasant, modern atmosphere, cleanliness, the clear instructions for finding your way around the airport and the signposts and road system at the two airports.

Dresden International Airport and Leipzig/Halle Airport: Highly recommendable

During the course of collecting the data, passengers and visitors were also asked whether they would recommend Dresden International and Leipzig/Halle Airports to other people or would use them as their departure airports again. At Dresden International Airport, 94 percent of people responded positively to the first question and 98 percent to the second.
96 percent of those interviewed will recommend Leipzig/Halle Airport to other people and 98 percent will use it as departure airport again.

In March 2011 an independent, Cologne-based consulting firm released a study concerning the service quality at German airports. Leipzig/Halle and Dresden International Airports are ranked second and third in this Germany-wide study.
