Quick and easy: to and from the airport by car, taxi/rental car and S-Bahn

A Skywalk connects the multi-storey car park (2,900 spaces) and the check-in area. The airport is just 20-30 minutes away from the city centre by taxi. Car rentals are available in the Arrivals area. S-Bahn line 2 stops at the airport’s underground station every 30 minutes. The journey time to the city is 20 minutes.

New from November: From Leipzig/Halle and Dresden nonstop to Ras Al Khaimah – SunExpress to fly weekly for FTI – Exclusive Sunshine Class service

The new, exotic flight destination of Ras Al Khaimah will feature in the Leipzig/Halle and Dresden winter timetables from November 2015. For the first time ever, there will be nonstop flights from central Germany to this emirate on the Persian Gulf. The airline SunExpress will be operating charter flights to the new gateway to the Orient for Munich tour operator FTI from Leipzig/Halle on Mondays and from Dresden on Wednesdays with a Boeing 737-800. Package holidays can be booked at all travel agencies offering FTI products.

Summer season gets under way: Vueling once again flies nonstop from central Germany to Barcelona five times a week

Vueling, Spain’s largest airline, will resume flights between Central Germany and Barcelona in April. There will be up to three weekly departures from Dresden (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) and two from Leipzig/Halle (Mondays and Fridays).
