Quick and easy: to and from the airport by car, taxi/rental car and S-Bahn

A Skywalk connects the multi-storey car park (2,900 spaces) and the check-in area. The airport is just 20-30 minutes away from the city centre by taxi. Car rentals are available in the Arrivals area. S-Bahn line 2 stops at the airport’s underground station every 30 minutes. The journey time to the city is 20 minutes.

Dresden Airport opens its doors for Family Day • Sightseeing flight with Germania • Modernised travel centre opening

On Family Day at Dresden Airport (7 May, 10:00 to 18:00), visitors will get to experience a whole host of exciting events and activities relating to air travel – sightseeing flights, guided tours, aircraft on display and a technology exhibition. The modernised travel agency area – Dresden’s biggest travel centre – will be officially reopened. There will also be lots of entertainment both inside and outside the terminal, with sports, fun and games and a prize draw featuring exciting prizes. The first prize is a family weekend at Europa-Park Rust including four Eurowings flight vouchers. Admission to Family Day is free (except for guided tours and sightseeing flights). Parking in the multi-storey car park will cost €4 for the whole day.

Non-stop to the Portuguese Atlantic coast: Germania launches new Dresden-Faro flight route

Thursday saw the launch of Germania’s new flight route connecting Dresden and Faro. A Boeing 737 took off in the afternoon for the heart of the Algarve, Portugal’s resort region on the Atlantic coast. The maiden flight was seen off in style with the customary shower by the airport fire service.
