Quick and easy: to and from the airport by car, taxi/rental car and S-Bahn

A Skywalk connects the multi-storey car park (2,900 spaces) and the check-in area. The airport is just 20-30 minutes away from the city centre by taxi. Car rentals are available in the Arrivals area. S-Bahn line 2 stops at the airport’s underground station every 30 minutes. The journey time to the city is 20 minutes.

Grand Airport Festival on 19 and 20 September: bookings already being taken for airberlin and Germania pleasure flights!

The first commercial flights took off from and landed at the new Dresden Airport on 11 July 1935. On the weekend of 19/20 September, the 80-year anniversary of its opening will be celebrated at the Grand Airport Festival. For those two days, the programme will include not just guided tours, aircraft and technology presentations, music and children’s entertainment but also pleasure flights. The airberlin and Germania airlines and various small aircraft will be offering amazing views of Dresden and its surroundings. Germania and airberlin are already taking bookings for their flights.
