A Skywalk connects the multi-storey car park (2,900 spaces) and the check-in area. The airport is just 20-30 minutes away from the city centre by taxi. Car rentals are available in the Arrivals area. S-Bahn line 2 stops at the airport’s underground station every 30 minutes. The journey time to the city is 20 minutes.

Central German Airports present their summer services at ITB in Berlin

From 7 to 11 March, Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports will be exhibiting on a joint stand at the world’s largest tourism fair, ITB in Berlin. Over the first three days of the exhibition, the focus will be on talking to airlines and travel operators. The exhibition opens to the general public at the weekend, when all visitors are welcome to come to stand 104 in Hall 11.2 to find out about the wide range of flights and services on offer at both airports.

Growing employment numbers at the Central German airports

The increase in the numbers of jobs at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports continued once again in 2017. 12,387 people were employed at local companies, service providers, public authorities and the Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG companies at the two airports on the key date of 31 December 2017.

Traffic developments at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports in 2017: growth in passenger numbers - and volumes of freight continue to increase significantly at Leipzig/Halle

4,074,418 passengers in all passed through the two Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG airports, Leipzig/Halle and Dresden, during 2017. Passenger numbers were therefore 5.6 percent higher than in the previous year.
