A Skywalk connects the multi-storey car park (2,900 spaces) and the check-in area. The airport is just 20-30 minutes away from the city centre by taxi. Car rentals are available in the Arrivals area. S-Bahn line 2 stops at the airport’s underground station every 30 minutes. The journey time to the city is 20 minutes.

Germania to station a second aircraft in Dresden in summer 2016 – Capacities in Saxon’s capital city to be ramped up

In summer 2016 Germania is to station another 148-seater Boeing 737 at Dresden Airport, which will be used on flights including its popular Dresden to Palma de Mallorca route. This aircraft is the airline’s second machine to be operated from Saxony’s capital city, significantly boosting the number of seats on offer.

Sightseeing flights at the Airport Festival: bookings for tours in small aircraft open on 1 September

Besides the airlines airberlin and Germania, numerous small aircraft will be running sightseeing flights at the Grand Airport Festival on 19 and 20 September. On both days, the Dresden-based Fliegerservice "August der Starke", Flug-Center Milan from Kamenz, the Bautzen Air Service and FMU Reinsdorf will be offering fascinating views of the city of Dresden and surroundings in planes including the world’s largest single-engine biplane, an Antonov AN-2. Seats on the 20- or 30-minute flights can be booked through Dresden Airport on +49 (0)351 881 3270 (daily from 09:00 to 18:00) from Tuesday 1 September. Participants will qualify for priority check-in before the flight on presentation of their booking confirmation.
