At Dresden Airport passenger handling (Operations) and lost luggage (Lost & Found) are run by two handling agents:

A full range of handling services both on the ramp and in Check-in/Operations and Lost & Found are therefore available to all airlines flying to Dresden.

General information on this business division

The services and offers available in this area of business are provided with the aid of state-of-the-art technology and a fully automated DCS (Departure Control System) which guarantees the very high standards required by IATA. The handling agents’ service package also includes dealing with baggage claims using SITA’s universal World Tracer baggage tracing system.

All personnel is trained and qualified to international aviation standards. They also undergo refresher courses on an ongoing basis. All Operations personnel have passed the mandatory IATA dangerous goods training courses (category 7) and are capable of handling all aircraft types. All handling agents have their own private radio frequencies so that handling services can be requested “from the air”. Making handling on the ground even smoother and quicker. Passenger handling is fully automated. Load planning and load and trim sheet generation are also computerised.
