Baggage

A baggage allowance of up to 20 kilograms is usually included in your ticket price. An additional charge is made for excess baggage. You may only take one small item of hand baggage with you into the cabin.

Trolleys are available at the airport station, outside and inside the terminal, at all outdoor car parks and in the multi-storey car park. These trolleys take one and two euro coins. In the terminal you will find several baggage frames which you can use to check whether your hand baggage is the right size.

The counter for outsize items is to the left of the security check area on the Departures level in the terminal.

On arrival at Dresden from abroad, you will proceed through passport control in the Arrivals hall and then through customs if necessary. In the baggage reclaim area, please check the monitors above the baggage carousels for your flight number and departure airport and collect your baggage.

Liquids in hand baggage

Since 6 November 2006 there have been restrictions on carrying liquids in hand baggage on all flights departing from the European Union and all connecting flights from Europe. Detailed information can be obtained from your travel agent, every airline and in the following brochure:

Left Luggage

There is a Left Luggage facility on level 00 of the multi-storey car park in the vicinity of the entrance. There are twelve standard lockers, one extra-large locker and two smaller ones available which passengers can use to temporarily deposit their luggage. The lockers can be for up to 24 hours for a hire charge of EUR 3.

How to use the lockers: When you have deposited your luggage in the locker and paid the hire charge, you will be given a paper ticket with a barcode. To retrieve your luggage, insert your ticket in the slot. Your locker will open automatically.

NB: If the hire period is exceeded by up to 72 hours, an additional EUR 6 is charged. If luggage is left in the locker for longer than 72 hours, the locker will be automatically opened and a charge of EUR 15 will be payable. Lost tickets will incur a locker opening fee of EUR 30.

Lost & Found

If your baggage does not arrive or is damaged on arrival, please proceed to Lost & Found on the Arrivals level in the terminal. You can report any losses or damage to the handling agents ASD Airport Services Dresden GmbH (tel. +49 (0)351 881 4050) and AHS Aviation Handling Services GmbH (tel. +49 (0)351 881 4182). The following table shows you which handling agent is responsible for which airline.
