By car to and from outside Dresden

Take the following motorways or highways: The way from Dresden Airport to the motorways and the federal highways and vice versa is signposted.

Berlin: Motorway A13/A4

Cottbus: Motorway A15/A13/A4 or highway B97.

Görlitz, Bautzen: Motorway A4

Bad Schandau, Pirna: Motorway A17/A4, or highway B172/B97

Leipzig: Motorway A14/A4

Chemnitz, Zwickau, Plauen: Motorway A72/A4

Freiberg: Highway B101 and motorway A4 or highway B173 and motorway A4 

Czech republic: Motorway D8/A17/A4, or highway B170 and B97

Poland: Motorway A4

By car to and from Dresden

City centre – airport: Orientation is provided through signs throughout the city. The federal highway B97 leaves the city northbound. In the district of Klotzsche turn left into Karl-Marx-Straße. At the second large intersection with traffic lights, turn right into the four-lane Hermann-Reichelt-Straße in order to get to the terminal and multi-storey car park. At the third traffic lights, turn left into Wilhelmine-Reichard-Ring.

Airport – city centre: Orientation is provided through signs at the airport and throughout the city (highway 97). To get from the airport to the nearby district of Klotzsche, go down Wilhelmine-Reichard-Ring, turn right into Hermann-Reichelt-Straße then left into Flughafenstraße / Karl-Marx-Straße, which lead you through the district of Klotzsche. Finally, turn right into Königsbrücker Landstraße, towards the city centre.

By taxi

The taxi journey from the city centre (e.g. Postplatz) to the airport ranges from Euro 16 to 18.  The taxi stand is directly in front of the terminal entrance..
